-
03/22/2021 - Jumprope on Facebook.
-
06/20/2019 - Jumprope on Spotify. All but Suitcase and Umbrella.
-
03/24/2012 - Lost Jumprope video footage unearthed! See performance video of Cindy's song, Disappear shot on July 28, 2000. The audio is a merging of the studio version of the song with the ambient camera audio, a tricky technological feat, but it works!
-
01/12/2012 - Ad and Rob, formerly The Fond Farewells, then Parachute Splash, then The Odd Men Out, then Crisis Actors, and now Promise to be Good, have released their album Don't Belong here on Bandcamp.
-
09/19/2011 - Ad's second solo album is released today. Beginners Only Songs is a collection of his (nearly) earliest tunes from a band long ago, and features the bassist from that group on bass and backing vocals -- that's Paul Cerqua. Available here on CD Baby.
-
04/21/2011 - Finally, some Jumprope on YouTube. See the groovy photo slideshow for Ad's song, Gingerbread.

-
09/27/2010 - Ad's new home page is up and running.
-
07/04/2010 - Ad's solo album is coming. After several years of keenly studying objective reality, and playing around with recording techniques, Ad began recording tracks in 2009 for a solo album that's now nearly done. Titled Pop Supraliminal, it ought to become available this year.
-
01/14/2004 - Unofficial, homemade CDRs of The Lost Album and Beyond are available at Apple Crumble Record Shop in Shibuya, Tokyo and at TweeKitten.com. Hope to see a professionally made "official" release someday.

Except, Ad and Tom have finished off a couple of home-studio tracks, and the idea for a new Jumprope CD, The Lost Album and Beyond, is getting some attention. This planned disc will contain the the early, vinyl-only EPs plus compilation tracks, some never-before-issued tracks, and two or three alternate versions of previously released songs.
-
02/01/2002 - Check out a new interview that Tom and Ad did with PinoyCentral.com (Philippines), reproduced on the Planting Seeds Records site.

-
09/17/2001 - Elbert's California punk rock outfit now has a web page: The Clarendon Hills [LINK LONG GONE].
-
08/2/2001 - John, formerly of Popgun 7, has signed on to join Jumprope as second guitarist for fall tour dates. We found out later that he has played only trombone for the past ten years. :)
-
06/21/2001 - The Jumprope collection CD, Holiday in Brazil from Mushroom Pillow Records has just been released in Spain. Now that it's out of jail, maybe it can now do good instead of evil.
-
06/18/2001 - We've completed a new recording, the first in the home studio. It's a cover of Ennio Morricone's Se Telefonando and will appear on an upcoming compilation CD called Dreaming Up the Perfect Pop, from Planting Seeds Records. It's not so over-the-top as Mina's version, but that was planned.
-
03/29/2001 - Holiday in Brazil will be the title of a Jumprope CD on Mushroom Pillow Records of Spain. It won't be new material, but a 40-minute collection of tracks representing each of our CDs and vinyl EPs. Coming just before summer this year, so you, the consumer, can stay cool.
-
01/31/2001 - Suitcase and Umbrella is out! Buy it from the good folks at Planting Seeds Records so they can feed themselves not need to plant so many seeds.
-
01/04/2001 - Jumprope now has a page on MP3.com. If you have a web browser, check it out: [LINK LONG GONE].
-
12/22/2000 - Our new album Suitcase and Umbrella is pressed and printed and will be delivered shortly. It should be available any time now, but knowing how the only certain things are death, taxes, and record-release delays, it may be out just before spring-time.
-
12/08/2000 - A new location for Jumprope MP3s is on the ListenToChina.com site [LINK LONG GONE]. There are alternate, non-album versions of Grandpa's Lament and Where To Go.

-
10/05/2000 - Planting Seeds Records will be releasing our second CD, Suitcase and Umbrella, hopefully, in early 2001. The very clever Chity Torres of Moving Pictures is doing the graphic artwork for it. Ad built the Moving Pictures web site [LINK LONG GONE].

-
08/21/2000 - Elbert departs for Stanford University in sunny California and won't be able to perform with the group anymore. Fortunately, our recording engineer Rick Mosher says he'll "help out" with the local gigs. Can we get that in writing?

-
03/03/2000 - The band is busy recording album #2, but, on the side, we're recording a track for an upcoming Monkees tribute album. Chosen, naturally, is the Monkees' only bossa nova, a Mike Nesmith-penned tune from 1967 called Don't Call On Me.
-
02/01/2000 - [LINK LONG GONE] Ad's guitar, amp, and effects setup detailed on GuitarGeek.com.
-
11/04/1999 - The Hannukah compilation CD is out. See the entry from 03/21/1999 below. Little Shirley Beans Records' Hannukah pop compilation I Made It Out Of Clay is now out, and as far as anyone can tell, it's the first of its kind.

08/20/1999 - Download, rate and review our new MP3 songs, Man Seeking Woman, Grandpa's Lament, and Holiday in Brazil (added 01/05/01) online at Rolling Stone magazine's site [LINK LONG GONE!]. Be kind, say something nice and give it a high rating.

-
05/12/1999 - Cindy's song, Grandpa's Lament, was supposed to appear on a forthcoming compilation CD from the brand new Past, Present, Future label in Philadelphia co-founded by Neal Ramirez, also known as SuperStereoKid. How, many projects are susceptible to ending in the early stages. Neal, what happened to that comp?
-
04/20/1999 - We recorded a song for a 1960s covers compilation cassette - that it turns out won't happen! The song, Forget That Girl, is oringally from the 1967 album, Monkees Headquarters. That's the only LP that The Monkees' performed entirely themselves (plus producer Chip Douglas on bass).
-
03/21/1999 - What does Jumprope have to do with Hannukah? Shirley Braha of Brooklyn NY is putting together a unique theme compilation CD for release later this year - Hannukah songs. Ad responded to the challenge by writing a bossa nova called Hannukah in Brazil that will appear. The song has since evolved into something called Holiday in Brazil that has found its way into our live set and basic tracks have already been done in the studio. Latest info is that the compilation is still on schedule for release this year.
-
03/20/1999 - Jumprope on a trading card? The Boston area will see the arrival of rock & roll trading cards from Kaos Kards later this year. (UPDATE: They're out!) The cards will be sold in sets of 80 at record shops and such in the Boston area. Jumprope will be included in the set.
